hassle of commuting. even as a student, commuting is a burden already. what more as a working adult? when i was in college i only had to commute like 30 mins to my school, but that is always one of the hardest 30 mins of the day. the amount of ppl in the train, walking distance when there's no service to drop to the nearest stop, plus don't get me started with the amount of cars on the road that reeks of fossil fuel. even if it's only for a while, it's still tedious. this isn't even counting the entire day of school you need to do and going home, when you're in college your sched ranges from early to very late in the evening. the rush hour of everyone leaving to go home is just a lot to handle, that when you finally get home, it's such a relief, only to realize you have to do that all over again the next day.

so, sure, you can go visit your girlfriend once a week every weekend, but sometimes you just wanna stay home. also I'm sure there's still a strain in that kind of relationship, as with most people's dedication to their relationship these days
