This comic confuses the hell out of me......

@ SSSdriver: The couple used some kind of neuro technology that linked their minds to the lizards. The power outage caused part of their brainwaves to be stuck in the lizards, and for part of the lizard's brainwaves to be imprinted on them. Whether that's real science or not, I don't know, but that's what happens here. The part of them left in the lizards is confused at first, thinking they have essentially swapped places, perhaps with the lizard or perhaps their bodies got away with nothing. Over time the humans realize there is something wrong, the lizard imprinted on their brains is causing them to do and crave impossible things. Finally, the man injects himself with a mutagen, turning into a lizard, and the woman joins him. Frankly, there's a lot that could be extrapolated from this story, but that's the basic gist for anyone else that's confused about what happened.
