Like a lot of comics, but it takes place in a brothel. Not all comics are about sex only, some of them are about a story like this one. A good story by the way.
Maybe an English translation can help the non-French to understand it.

That was terrific!!!
What a story! It really encapsulates the atmosphere of that time! I am at a loss for words, a great thriller with likeable characters (despite the obvious sterotyped ones).
