It would be interesting if the youkai had a sort of counterpart to to Akyuu and was constantly making notes of interesting humans like the different Hakureis or like Marisa. Maybe that's how Aya started and it got out of hand and became a kind of news like thing. After all humans are constantly changing compared to youkai who live for hundreds of years.
