Because apparently there's a lot of Shine Mirage fans around here, I will also translate the web novel, parallel to the manga TL. Is there a Shine Mirage web novel hosted on an English site? Someone sent me a link back in chapter 1, but the website was pretty intimidating to navigate, lol.

Speaking of chapter 1, would it be okay for me to release a revision? Even to me that was especially bad, so I'd like to retry it. If that counts as spamming and somebody else wants to do it I wouldn't mind though.

Another very good TL.

It seems you had some issues with trying to TL page 11's upper right comment. TLing "おいおい" to "Oy oy" is great if you're TLing informally for the weeb crowd who already know generally what it means (in other words, anyone reading stuff on here).

I remember you saying you're working on your general translation skills, which means you have to TL for readers who may not be familiar with the expression. In that case it's not a sound effect - it's still an expression of speech used in English so it should be TL'd I think. Directly TL'd, "おい" is a casual/rough/masculine expression to get someone's attention - basically English's "hey."

おい! そこのひと! would be "hey, you there!" or "hey, you!"
おい! まって! is an expression you hear guys say in anime and manga a lot - basically, "hey, stop!"

Like Chinese in this case, he's repeating the word twice for emphasis. So it'd be like, "Hey now, <is this all you've got?>"

Yeah no kidding. Even after repeatedly looking back at it, I still couldn't be sure about that line. I even almost went with, "Oi oi." I find this kind of lines very difficult because I'm an Asian myself. The way Nipponish sounds feels natural to me, making it difficult to translate sounds. Like, "Ohooo," sounds completely natural to me, but I really doubt it's common in English.

Also, that's what I thought when finally deciding on that terrible, "Oy oy." I thought you guys must be very familiar with weeb culture and I really didn't want to lose the crude taunting feel of the line, so I decided to go with it. However, I will follow your advice and go more English next time, as I too feel like it's more professional that way.

No illustrations on that site. I believe the illustrations are only on the actual novel (digital or print version) published by Kill Time Communication (KTC).

I do have a question regarding this chapter though:

In the second to the last page, did she cum when she got kicked, or the did the combatant's foot stop short and she just came from the anticipation? It's a bit ambiguous IMO.

If they do move Shine Mirage to even-numbered volumes, that would be around middle of next month if KTC follows its release cadence.
If not, Vol. 15 will be out probably mid-June. :O

I like its premise: a priestess armed with sex skills to appease sex gods, but mustn't get sperm in her womb lest she loses her powers. There's great excitement as she skirts the line between completing her mission and succumbing to pleasure. :D
