That being said, aren't 300 DPI scans in B&W the standard? Almost everything I've uploaded and downloaded is around 2000X3000, give or take. Cover art double that at 600 dpi, in order to avoid interference patterns between halftone printing and the scanning process. Much bigger, and any missed flecks of dust end up looking like giant wiry pubes.
