Why would you not upload the high-rez images in the first place? Isn't it more work to make 29 compressed copies?

Yeah, a lot of the digital versions that are for purchase online end up being shockingly low resolution. I think part of that is because people in Japan are using mobile phones to read them, not a proper computer.

Also they still use fax machines so people running tiny resolutions on legacy machines wouldn't surprise me.
