Little side note, the thing Suzuya does in page 19 is a kind of ritual done in the Obon season in Japan in which the believe the souls of the dead come to earth to visit the living, the vegetable in animal shape are done to guide their souls which implies the Admiral is dead in this doujin. Moral of the story: I feel bad for having fapped to this ;_;
@ShadowBreaker69 I interpreted it more as the Admiral's favourite Kanmusu having fallen in battle, thus him being a depressed shut-in that needs to be taken care of.
Note that, as per the postscript, this happens after the war with the Abyssals, and the shipgirls have become normal girls. Or something like that. There's a bit about the Admiral too.
@Faeldrin Yeah I think you're right (didn't read the postscript, my bad), it's a little bit ambiguous tough because it's Suzuya and all that makes the other animal shaped vegetable, so I'm still left in doubt.
