大概就是某怪兽杀死一堆人，而这些人相处在同一地点，互相联系和认识，比如15.17.19就是母亲儿子和儿子的玩伴。这本子就跟一些很“虐”的动画或电影差不多，先让你熟悉某个人物，从人设和剧情上了解他，喜欢他，然后再让这个人物死去，死得越惨看客心理波动越大

Like.. I'm fine with good gore and this comic has times where it's good but if a story made sense the pictures should tell it just fine. This gives us a bunch of characters and then just organs everywhere.. Wasn't impressed to say the least :/ was actually kinda disappointed after the first page.

Forget the people who don't get the story structure. It simply, and elegantly, introduces characters, reveals an intimate moment in their life and then shows them being viciously killed by a terrifying monster. It shows that every second of life should be appreciated and treasured because it's not guaranteed. Never forget that life is as cruel as it is beautiful. We can ask all be cut down in a single moment, in the most terrible way imaginable. Not even the monster is spared from the randomness of life and death. I can't wait to see more by this artist!

While I don't really agree that it's "super deep whoah dude", I don't agree that it's disappointing. In fact, I really liked this particular piece. Hayami Kuro's art never fails to make me smile and make me connect with the characters she creates. I own several doujinshi by her, and the art is always as adorable as it is grotesque.

The details to the characters that the artist adds help give them personality, and in a work like this, that's especially important - they only have one or two pages to show that personality. Take for instance, the man on page 12 (13): even on the afterword page, Hayami Kuro adds the sags under the character's eyes. Or, for another example, the belt on the boy that appears during page 16 (17).

Thematically, several of the characters are interconnected. The man that the young girl dates on page 2 (3) gets his own story on page 6 (7), and the man that appears in that one also gets his own story on page 8 (9). While I personally can not read Japanese (the most I can do is sound out Hiragana/Katakana and a few Kanji), I'm sure if you read the text you'd find more reasons to interconnect the characters aside from them appearing in one another's story. I think that's a really cool way to use NINE whole different characters in a twenty-two page doujinshi, and it disappoints me these are probably one-offs.

In regards to the characters, I think that the artist's intention was not to flesh them out, but to add to the sense that the city was living and breathing, with people going about their own lives in it before the attack. And I think that it worked.

Anyway, that's it for my big rambling on why I happened to like it. I hope it didn't sound too dumb.
