Or someone who really just didn't put any pressure on the cover of the scanner as you can SEE which side of the page the spine of the book was and each page has this very strange dark stripe in the the center of it horizontally. Look at page 4. Also the amount of page pages with bleed-through on the scans is disgusting!

You can see some attempts at digital correction (Redrawn text boxes in the gutter area) but with all that work why not just take the time to get better scans in the first place?
