I'm kinda intrigued that Date chose to continue this one, since it's not his usual style. Usually goes for gender bender/possession/permanent mind break, all with a dash of horror/sadism; curious what got him to go with a snuffy monster outbreak, since the girls don't seem to last beyond having their forms taken by amorphous genderless beasts that don't really have that gender-bending angle. Moving outside his specialty, maybe?

Anyways, how come ogres aren't end-bosses in this world anyways? They have shapeshifting + memory/technique stealing + the physical combat ability to fuck up some of the strongest warriors in the kingdom.

I love this series, but... I seriously don't get why it's being tagged as possession when it's stated multiple times in the story the ogre is shapeshifting into its victims, not possessing them. We even see it happen a couple times.
