@Amuro1x: Or she's asking if she's transitioning and she's saying no. It's common as hell in anime for boys to become girls, people ask if they got a sex change like that, and they enthusiastically state that's not the case. So I'd say it's anything but "pretty clear" what's the exact case from some vague symbolism even if it's most likely one of those two options.
