I think that this doujin missed the mark a little bit on Hotaru's seemingly oblivious innocence, but it also ended up being a good story that made me happy to read. I found myself also only noticing somewhere close to the end "Ohh, hotaru lost her ruffly top and is now just wearing the bowtie... wow that looks cute and sexy on her." I'm glad the snack references were included in the translation but I still think that the translation missed several key points and could have been done better. The Shimoneta reference at the very back pages picture is cute too.
