At first I was like "The fuck, he just goes to games in the morning, even when his lover is finally right there?" Because I've had a friend have that exact thing happen. Then i realized he's at-home IT support, and her 'so kind' comment is because it's likely the first time anyone has ever left ANYTHING for her, even a simple sandwich and tea.
This comic is sweet in so many ways.

Had a remote job during the covid stuff, I loved working at home til home felt like work. Much happier to be back in house than remote, its rough
