Honestly, I don't see why they would waste their time doing that. As much as kigurumi does disturb me, I don't see the point of hating on it simply do to my un-comfortableness around the cos-players.
Still, it it kind of like theme-park mascots, or fur-suiters... which make me feel similar, just odd and uncomfortable.
