I don't mean to be rude, but you should save full color images in JPG not PNG format. PNG is only suitable for level adjusted b/w art where the compression works best or if you need very high range of colors that JPG loses. If used on photographic images it works like zipping a BMP file and becomes very large.

Oh, I don't think you rude. But as far as I know, JPG loses some of its images through compression.

I just didn't want this loss compression to degrade the image's quality.

As you say, a file that doesn't have very high color information (for example, the current scan) doesn't have to use PNG and doesn't make much difference to pressure loss with JPG.

Next, we will consider using JPG extension.

By the way, even I convert files PNG to JPG, all of files still have a total capacity of 447MB. Is this okay?
