BTW, "Dark Melfina" appears (only briefly) in the third (and final) volume of the Outlaw Star manga, which is sadly out of print (but I have a copy of all three volumes, lucky me). The manga story was never concluded as far as I know, and the story is quite different from the anime. For one thing, Hilda was more of a bad guy (she backstabs Gene, but Gene survives and confronts her, where she then shoots off his left arm. But before she could deal the finishing blow Gene sets off a mine beneath Hilda which lights her ass on fire and she dies in a blaze of glory). Suzuka is also more "playful" in the manga and she likes to tease Jim a lot.
