Bleh. Re-Take is such overrated garbage. Not really surprising that a doujin that managed to completely white-wash everything about Asuka's character finds Shikinami (someone who's literally a white-washed version of Asuka's character) appealing.

Great to see the return of Re:Take continuing, even though I only have a very vague idea of what's going on and the fact that the English in the translation is completely broken doesn't really help.

This TL needs more editing than Rebuilds 2 and 3 my god.

But so we've got manga ending Shinji and Asuka shunted into the series proper's timelines after Sachiel killed everybody Shinji cared about in the manga ending timeline. Meanwhile, eyepatch Shinji, presumably from 3.0 timeline, is playing Good Cop to a repeat of RE-TAKE 1's Evil Ghost Asuka's Bad Cop.

Both manga ending Shinji and Asuka have dreams of when they were Eva pilots, but Asuka has trauma from the Harpies, who are now faceless fatguys/rapist Kaworus, since manga ending Asuka doesn't have her memories of piloting as deeply ingrained in her as manga ending Shinji does. Also Mari is manga ending Asuka's gay bestie because reasons.
