assuming you are talking about the cheeks, those are a thing. the one person I know with them got them because she was self conscious about her dimples. to each their own.

I've seen piercing through the two middle fingers, that's probably more abnormal than cheek piercings

Since the piercings are only in some, and there's no marks in the other pics, they're likely edited in or smoothed out post prod (or stickies I guess). Based on the weirdness around the left one in pic 2, the fact that there isn't any dimpling around them, the other pics not showing discrepancies around the areas (e.g. 34) and I'm guessing they're not real ones that got edited out of some pics. No clue if they're added in or stickies though.

Also, cheek piercings really aren't that odd (assuming you know people with more than ear piercings)
