One of my favorites works from that artist, it's does feel like a slice of life that it can easily be mistaken for canon, and even then it's does fit, as well to give us more indepth of the past of the club, and how much that even in an abandoned amusement park, they can have fun without a lingering threat at every corner like in many horror media.
