The manga asserts that it is based on a real story. Well, I agree that such stories are being told by many people.

As for reality, according to the chief director of Global Times, there are many institutions established and many people living in. However, what they are living, or suffering, is controversial. CCP concede that some kind of 'education' exists and they insist that no human rights is offended (though, always, they keep an unique understanding for that), instead, Uyghur can keep healthy by various activity and learn many skills there. The other side of points, as you read, this manga expresses a radical view among them.

It is no doubt that personal freedom of many Uyghur are limited, but no decisive evidence can support each side. It's good, I suppose, to show it openly and arise discussions for the fact, but not just aimlessly attacks.

BTW, I don't think one of the references, Epochtimes, deserve to be trusted. The only thing you can get when you visit it is CCP is flagrant and would perish in the next day. Well, given Epochtimes have been saying that for many years and CCP is still ailve and 'more and more flagrant’, it is more and more trustless itself.
