The technicality of the art is good.
The composition itself is shit.

Look at most of the characters, they look like they're too busy to pose for the cameraman rather be absorbed in the moment. It doesn't even look like they're having sex.
Some break the fourth wall by actually looking straight at you.
Was the theme for this "Standard Practices of Pornography Actors", or what?

Oh man. This could have been so good. They look like pieces of fine art, and some of them look like photos, but the faces either look like they're smiling for a camera or are staring into space vacantly. Lots of the faces seem to follow one of about 5 or 6 archetypes, too. The range of expression is so narrow that the characters rarely look like they're genuinely experiencing pleasure, or any emotion, really. Their mouths just kind of... hinge open or twist into these terrifying smiles when they aren't stonefaced.

That said, there are actually a couple awesome examples in some of the images, too, that defy that. The dwarves in image 15 are really expressive(you can see the dwarf on the left looking up at the womean incredulously as she pats his head), but then the woman in the image is completely stonefaced. In image 23, the man on the right looks like he's actually really into it and is, in my opinion spectacularly articulated, but then you have LOLface on the left and teeth in the center. Prot has the anatomy and shading of their subjects down to a science, but struggles when it comes to making them into people; displaying emotions correctly given the context, and showing the interaction between subjects through their faces. Lots of them and up looking like statues or like they're outright putting up a facade.

Either way, I'll definitely have to keep an eye on prot. When they model all of their subjects faces as well as they did in those exceptional cases, we're gonna have a damn prodigy on our hands.
