Some parts of the story don't make sense at all.

I liked the female character design of Hayase, though she could have been transposed with the blonde heroine from the last series, and you wouldn't be able to tell a significant difference. Her somewhat unkempt under-appearance with a lack of hair trimming and shaving is a nice touch; it really does depict a woman who is more driven by her work, and not spending much time making herself appealing to possible suitors. The other characters, including the antagonist Atou seem to have less detail about them, and the whole world has a weird, sketchy appearance.

By the end of this series, I thought there would at least be some sort of indicator as to the origin of the "hypnosis" app, but we see nothing; it's like "oh, I'll just use this app that I have no idea where it came from". I'm also a bit confused by the fight between the two men towards the end: did the Atou alter memories to make Asai think that he had broken the phone and saved Hayase? It was noted that the phone was never actually destroyed, so...

What I'm more surprised about is that Atou didn't use his app to hypnotize other women; how could he stay interested in Hayase alone when the power of the app is so incredible? Especially after she became pregnant, a man like him wouldn't stay satisfied with that. This story had much more potential than what it ended up being.

The lack of explanation in a few areas, plus the somewhat unfinished look of some of the art plants this as a 3.5 for me. I'm not a fan of scat, but I don't take points off for that.
