I have a basic grasp but generally rely on alternate translations (like chinese) or help from google. As a result, while these translations are technically accurate, they are by nature rewrites due to the process of editing. Additionally I do add or change some dialog for personal taste, and I occasionally move around dialog if I feel it makes the storyline more sensible. Some of these are much older that I am just now uploading, so there may be some clunky and wordy writing. I make these for myself, and I only share them in hope that someone else might find it nice to read, otherwise I'm not really interested in much else.

If you know your old writing is crappy, why are you uploading it here anyway? We don't want mediocre content posted here, especially in the case when superior translations exist.

I make edits or translations for myself, so I do think it's perfectly servicable; honestly I find a lot of the dialog in hentai in general to be very dry and bland which is why I even bother to rewrite things to begin with. Yes, my older writing is not great and I have been improving its quality over time, but the point is it IS different from the original and I figure some people might enjoy it anyway. I'm not going to spend my time updating every single thing I've written ever. Otherwise you're free to just use the link I provided for a non rewritten copy.

The real problem is the community has spent years doing what it can to keep aweful rewrites from getting uploaded. Mostly because its usually going so far as to use violently western names in a very japanese setting, or because its so bad/poorly-typeset/broken that its makes you wish the one who made it would commit seppuku with a rusty butter knife.

Its basically the the reverse ghost stories dub effect.

@miroku888 Well, while I get, what you're meaning, have you taken the time to look at the other "translation" (if you can even call it that) of this gallery? Because, that oe somehow got a rating of 4.56 (probably cause the art is still hot and it was the first English translation, definitely can't be for the translation quality though) even though the grammar and coherence of some of the sentences is more than poor. And quite frankly, in such a case I'm actually thankful for a rewrite such as this one, since it provides a much more coherent and clean dialog while also keeping the plot and story the same. As such, you could even go as far as to say that it's a clean-up of the previous translation (even though, don't get me wrong, this isn't perfect either and could probably be improved as well), for which I at least, am thankful. And I'm sure if he was the first one to upload this without telling people it's a rewrite, you guys would be singing a different tune as well and rating him more, but that's just my 2 cents.

TL;DR: I'm not saying what Xephyrius provided here is in any case perfect or that I am a fan of rewrites (or that I somehow endorse them), but in this particular case, I think we actually got an upgrade compared to the previous translation.

@Jack Woods @miroku888 I don't really bother to keep up with the community, but have you actually read the text? Compare it to the other translation that I linked and I think you'll see that the story and dialog are overall pretty accurate. I clearly state that these are rewrites because I think a lot of translations here are super bland or boring to read through; lots of descriptors is my personal taste and I'm aware that not everyone want's to read so much. Anyways, I suppose I'm not surprised why people would have such disdain for rewrites in general, but again I really only try to "rewrite" so much as I feel an editor or localizer would rewrite translated content.

Frankly I'm amazed the original "translation" has a rating above 4.5, it's clearly done by someone who doesn't natively speak english (and hey, whatever, good on them for at least making something) and the resulting quality is honestly unreadable; that's the whole reason I even bothered to edit the dialog for this one in the first place.

I honestly don understand why these kind of rewrites are so hated. I mean we aren't talking about those old "everyone is now named Kenta Kun and the woman is now his mother" rewrites. It looks like you just cleaned up the English on the previous translation which I appreciate. Kudos.
