^The daughter was there from the very beginning in chapter 1 if you pay attention as the ghost text was her influence on Dominique's thoughts. She was always there from the start

@majob yeah, she's foreshadowed, but she kind of invalidates the plot; all the bad crap happening isn't because of emotional trauma, it's because the spooky time ghost is basically mind controlling them. It also deflates the ending by basically confirming that dominique gets tristam back and the plot was mostly for nothing.

^It's your choice if that's the case. Nique is the only one who sees or hears her. It could all be in her head. She spend a majority of the comic excusing her actions and saying she's justified, so passing the blame onto a demon baby would be part of her MO. I think you get to choose which interpretation means more to you.

^ the extra parts of the story you get if you save the comics as text files make it a lot less ambiguous, I feel; not only is the therapy not working, but the therapist is now getting charlotte's nightmares, implying that ghost baby influence is real and messing with all of them.

maybe I'm just mad because I wanted the story to end on a more positive note. Charlotte forgiving Tristam, the most positive moment in this series, is ultimately pointless since a few pages later they still end up in largely the same situation as before; Tristam's still trapped by the secret, it's just that now charlotte is also trapped. At least Tristam isn't being raped anymore (though dominique will still be back on her bullshit before too long).
