Will you consider making something using HS2 studio? It is much more convienient than HS or KK's studios, and has the latest graphics with powerful graphics plugins.

HS2 is basically the same as AI-shoujo, the basic studio function is better than HS indeed :P, however... there are some problem to make HS2 still not an option for me:

1. Mods quantity:
HS is early than HS2, maybe oneday HS2's mods will be more than HS but not now
2. Maps mod not as a studio item:
for some reason, most HS2's modder doesn't make Maps as an item, which will make scene edit impossible.
3. Character's face morph sucks:
for some fucked up reason, Illusion's HS2 3Dartist made the suckest face morph in history... it make HS2's character always looks... lifeless, I can craft a mod to fix those fucked up blend shape, but it will take a lot of time and energy, consider other problem I think it's not worth it
4. No scene loader plugin:
scene manage tool is a pretty handy stuff while making a complex comic, it really can save a lot of time

but HS2 do have the potential, I'm looking forward to it's community grow bigger!

these are indeed problems... I'm making scenes in HS2/AI (not as half fancy as yours tho XD) and there are some tools I found useful dealing with the problems you mentioned. May not be perfect but just FYI:)
1 - yeah can't argue that.. the number of mods are growing fast tho so let's just say it's promising XD
2 & 4 - have you heard of VNGE? it's a engine for making VNs in studio and there is a plugin called scene save state. It creates "states" inside a single scene, each are like snapshot of current state of tracked characters, items, even maps. Using that you can possibly make all contents of your comic inside a single scene without heavy performance issues. Like if your 30-page includes total of 1 girl and 10 guys, you can make them all in one scene and when you load that scene it's just like loading a scene with 11 characters. changing maps between states is also easy.
2.5 - though a lot of maps are indeed map, there are also some item maps too now. Also, there are numbers of scenes on official site are "maps" created using items, some are nice and not heavy, could as well be used as item maps:)
3- AIPE has the blend shape function, it's quite powerful and I believe HS2PE is coming soon.

Ah... I know VNGE but I didn't know it also on HS2/AI now! that will be a life saver no doubt!
the big problem about map not as item is I won't able to combine multiple maps for some usage, also can't use render editor to hide or change map objects, even though can manually re-import every map mods as item but that will be a torture :<
AIPE just provide the ability to adjust blendshape, but HS2/AI's original face morph is pretty weak, even AIPE can't help them, I think Illusion don't want HS2/AI character's expression too much, it made HS2/AI's character have a pretty face....but somehow lifeless :^(
