As most of you cannot understand Chinese, I would like to tell you about the 'legend' to my understand.

Though the 'rumor' could be the reason, cgc didn't show us about it. So i think the reason could be something else.
cgc shows a lot about "pay the money" and "read RAW plz". Seems he agrees with these comments in TC. I guess he is somewhat look down upon his Chinese fellows.
Note! the kind of the Chinese language they use is one of the keys to this 'legend'. Most Chinese translators are in mainland China, But cgc and his friends are most likely from Taiwan, a rebelling province of China, which is the result of the Chiness civil war. Taiwan is somewhat likely to Catalunya in Spain. But Taiwan has a different government and its own military forces against mainland China. To this point, Taiwan and mainland China is somewhat like North and South Korea. Both sides believe the other is the rebel.

So cgc is not happy with the criticizes from the 'rebelling mainland China'. But proud of his Taiwan provincial friends using TC and proud of themselves are capable with Japanese language.
But I believe most people in Taiwan can not understand Japanese. Cuz Taiwan publishes and sells the most Chinese translated MANGAs. I don't know how cgc think about most of his provincial fellows.
Opps, the noble Taiwanese users of e-hentai never paid one JPY for the scan.
