Second, given that the magic involved has already mentally adjusted themselves to subconsciously talk like they were always in their new bodies, and allowed them to know about their current home, it's safe to say that the magic probably let them adjust to their new lifestyles as well. I personally prefer this route, as the other way is having everyone look at them like they're crazy as they have a breakdown trying to find a way back to their time, assuming there is one.

Please stop trying to write Scottish accents based entirely on Austin Powers movies. I am Scottish and this is just... all wrong from start to finish. You can either do it accurately (Trainspotting) and have something that's an absolute nightmare to read, or you can just steer clear. Please, please, please do the latter, this is not fun for Scots or non-Scots to read.

Also Scottish people don't say "yar" unless we're doing a pirate impression.

@flashyfool It's pre-modern Scotland, not modern. Accents have started becoming less pronounced, likely mostly due to television usually speaking in a Midwestern/American Basic accent. While that is the same accent I have due to my location, and thus wouldn't have a great measuring stick, I can say that I've heard repeatedly that people usually cannot hear their own accents.

Perhaps your accent sounds closer to this comic's than you think, though I'd be quite surprised if it was spot on.
