This is probably the worst quality of the 6 so far, all I’ll tell you was it was pain and I myself can’t even get off to it because of the ptsd(exaggeration duh) from translating it.

>"This is mainly to satiate the desire for understanding until someone pays some actually professional group to properly do it"

1. Define "professional". Most people you probably call "professionals" started out as self-taught amateurs that simply cared enough to actually learn how to do a good job at scanlating.
2. Even if shitty, pre-existing scanlations generally reduce the probability of someone redoing a doujin SIGNIFICANTLY. Why? Because every scanlater that even so much as considers scanlating at least semi-regularly has a near infinite sized backlog as is. As for commissioners, well, money doesn't exactly grow on trees, for most people.

So this this is pretty much a 101 on how NOT to do it.

OTOH, if something isn't translated in a couple of years, the chances of it getting ever translated gets closer over time to zero. Counting on someone out there to eventually translate it, I found myself much more often disappointed than pleasantly surprised. Unless one completely butchers it to the point that it either doesn't make sense or it deviates from what's written too liberally, I'd say I appreciate something I want to read even if it's barebones. As the other option is having a translation NEVER and Japanese doesn't read better than a barebones translation for someone who cannot read it.

Plenty of groups put out high quality stuff for free because it's a passion project or practice. It's a little disrespectful to them to blame not being paid on poor quality. That said there's nothing wrong with working at your current ability. Just don't make excuses.

Theres making excuses. And then there's THIS. My dude, even the font choice is unpleasant to look at. I hate to be that guy, but either go all in or don't bother because just as age prevents tls, shitty tls kill chances even more since one 'already exists'. Right now with your uploads you're just becoming another EZRewriter

I agree, especially with games but I see the same trend with manga as well, if a shitty translation is released the odds of a high quality one being made become almost nil.

In the future, take the effort you so painstakingly put into this and put it towards either making money to have this commissioned or improving your skills.

I just want to say I do put effort in, call it trash if you like but you can’t say I or the people I work with don’t put effort in, I give close to 15 hours a week in to do this stuff, and I just reminded myself why I shouldn’t read the comments as spoon has told me.
