Natsu-san definitely seems more like a "natural woman" or a "material girl" than a "tough chick" to me. But I like her anyway. As usual, Sensei really brings these characters to life with all their little expressions and reactions.
I think I passed his stuff over a few times because there is so damn much story (he tends to do around 30 pages before any sex). But while working on it, somehow the story stuff became my favorite parts. Natsu-san is just so damn cute. Maybe that's what I like most about Sensei's women. They have really honest reactions to everything (although Natsu-san was the least honest -- she is indeed an unfair woman!). With that said, she grabbed my heart on page 25. And then on page 27, she grabbed something else. Heh, heh. She really says the darndest things!
There are alot of nice subtle things happening here too. Like, you can tell alot based on what Natsu-san's wearing down below. She never wears a skirt with her ex, and she never smiles around him either, but she does show off her legs for him. And on page 56 she was at work so she was wearing shorts, but on page 61 she's switched to a skirt because she's going to see her new guy. It's a subtle difference, but that's why Sensei is so great!
And although it's not shown, it's pretty clear from the subtext that when he told her he liked seeing her at work, she miss heard it as his saying he was lonely without her. Then when her laptop started acting up, she thought of him and probably cleaned her apartment. And she purposely wore a skirt with stockings to show off her legs even though it's cold enough to wear a parka. Then when he got to her place, her legs were bare.
Sensei left the last 4 panels of p58 blank so I did too. But I felt like it was important to hear him say it, so I did an alternate take as a omake. I think her reaction makes more sense that way.
Well, for those who read the ending and are worried (like I was) good news. In the authors note, Sensei says basically, not to worry about it. And previewing the next chapter, I can see Natsu-san takes care of her ex without anything really bad happening.
[spoiler] My one quibble here is that she's still a virgin even though she had a boyfriend like that. (Well, that's probably why he was cheating on her.) Does anybody believe a friendly, busty beauty like her never had another boyfriend or did anything like handjobs, blowjobs, or tit fucks? Well, she's really good at causing men pain, so I guess she's had alot of experience fending them off.
Anyway, I'm excited to tackle the next chapter as well at some point.
Although I quite liked it, there are two things I want to point out. The MC having no eyes annoyed the hell out of me. There is probably some artistic justification behind it, but to me it just looks weird. Secondly, her being a virgin seems a bit odd considering her ex-boyfriend and how she carries herself.
Good story and thank god it isn't NTR. That dick is likely to get yourself screwed over in the hentai world if you ask me.
Anyways, thanks for the translation!!
@Forgunia I'd like to think of Natsu as a judgemental character where she waits to see what kind of a person you are. She was probably waiting to see if her ex was the right guy by dating him a few times. When she saw him being an asshole, she lost interest and dumped him. When Natsu met the MC on the other hand, she took a liking to him and realised that she genuinely likes him which leads them to having sex and being in a relationship.
@Forgunia There is an artistic justification behind it, as you put it, although I also don't like its use in this instance. Whenever you see "faceless" characters that's usually a way to let the reader project onto or self-insert into the character. You usually see this in more straightforward "get to the sex" types of stories, so it is a bit weird here where two characters are taking their time to build a relationship that the MC neither has a defined face nor a name. That's probably my only issue with this work, because I really did enjoy it otherwise.
