What SCSS said, plus much more. And by much more, I mean this scanlator lacks the following from what I've seen: Saving raw files as PSDs first (assuming they use Photoshop), converting said PSDs from RGB color into greyscale, exporting those PSDs as 32 or 64-color black and white PNGs to cut down on excess filesize, typesetting by making the text not too big or too small or having text boxes shaped either as a square or a egg shape, redrawing where necessary (pages 11 and 12), and using a white stroke to make background text more visible if you don't redraw (again, pages 11 and 12).

The original comment has been changed to not be confrontational, but seriously, if you're asking people for money for your scanlations, your quality better be worth the price. So far, from what I've seen, it isn't even worth a single red cent, but there's hope for you yet (provided you actually follow through with it).

Read these guides, drill them into your memory, and use what you learned to make your next work better, regardless of translation. A good scanlation needs 2 things: a good translation and an equally good editing job. You may get away with a less than perfect translation, but if the editing is lacking, no matter how good the translation is, people will think that the translation is horrible from the look of the edit, especially if somebody paid you money for it.

EDIT: The leveling histogram is quite screwy, but I still managed to level the scan of page 4 of your project to give you an idea of what it'd look like with proper leveling, taking proper care not to over-darken or over-brighten the scan, and also removing page bleed-through.

As you can see, the difference is night and day. Best part is, it took me less than a minute to do so, but made this one page look a million times better. Imagine what the rest of the project would look like properly leveled. For the more nitpicky, the text is darker because it's part of the indexed file, but normally, I'd place the leveling layer below my text layers so they aren't accidentally darkened as well.

My suggestion from experimenting with page 5 (img030_.png) would be black to 79 and white to 222.

Do you honestly expect anyone to go "oh yeah, good point, should look into that, thanks for pointing it out, calling me an fucking idiot really convinced me you're someone I want to take advice from" with that much toxicity? I'm not sure what the point even is to implying bad translations and bad editing are always paired while only able to guess its bad because you're not a translator yourself. LMFAO the fucking irony in there. Does that mean the translators at LWB are also garbage till you editing fixes their job for them?

My advice for translator would be to look for someone capable of doing editing worth paying for willing to help him for a 50% cut, outsourcing the time you'd normally spend trying to edit means having more time to translate to compensate for giving up 50% pay.

edit: was in response to a rather long comment that has since been edited. to be summed up as a experienced editor ranting about how a translator who clearly spends his time practising translating more than editing should be ashamed for being a poor editor. I fully agree editing can be much better but no need to be a cunt about it.

This is just my take on things, but can the anal beads please NEVER AGAIN be brown colored like they are in the cover? I know this isn't the translator's fault, and the author is never going to read this, but for fuck's sake, when I seek out anal content, I don't want to be reminded of dookie.
