Oh no Mr. sh*tcu*t saltcutlet, I added the textless version, making your gallery obsolete. How did I achieve this amazing feat? When I originally uploaded this gallery I actually bought it from Fanza. So all I had to do is redownload and upload it again. Unlike you, who can only reupload galleries from other uploaders while only adding the title pic and posting free shi* from Pixiv.

yea, that rule of needing to put the dlsite/dmm cover image as the first pic is fucking retarded. That stupid cover image isn't even a part of the download when you buy it.

It's just a way for a user to get a decent idea of what the gallery is about if they're viewing uploads by thumbnail.

but yeah it is pretty shitty to have a gallery sniped by just adding a cover. They should introduce a system where any user can submit the cover if the gallery doesn't have it and be voted into the gallery as the first image like the petition votes instead of just expunging it all and someone else just reuploading the whole gallery again with a cover.

Edit:Checking saltcutlet's uploads it seems he's going kind of nuts with it. Galleries that are several years old are getting reuploaded with the dlsite/whatever cover. It's kind of fucked up and just seems completely unnecessary...

You know what the funny thing is? Saltcutlet actually isn't your enemy. Not entirely, anyway. He has actually stated his explicit support for changing the rules, especially these sorts of rules, as he finds them unwieldy and unfair. He's actually pretty well known for making big threads detailing what the problems with the rules are. My current theory is that he's trying to force everyone's hand by showing exactly how exploitable the rules are by doing it so blatantly, that people have to change them. Just my theory of course, and it hasn't worked yet. And I don't necessarily agree with those methods. The problem is that any new rule has to be enforced with our current understaffed group of volunteers and a handful of mods, and has to be something that gets enough input on that it doesn't end up with people saying the new rules were "sprung" upon them. Not even mentioning anything that has to be coded into the quite complex codebase of the site.

It's people like me who you should be yelling at. I will enforce the rules of the site, no matter how big or small the infraction, because to give an inch here leads to drama down the line. So yes, now that I see his old gallery, I'll bring the motion to expunge it. Incidentally, if you want to change the rules, help make better ones in the Vigilante subforum. Mind you, they have to be actionable and not wildly ambitious for our staffing, but the rules have changed for the better gradually in other areas due to feedback and engagement, and there's no reason that this can't change too. In short, I don't think anyone LIKES how this system treats uploaders. It's just the best we've got.

Edit: Nevermind, I CAN'T bring the action to expunge it. saltcutlet's version has all three censorship versions of the cover page, this only has one, so his is technically just barely within the rules. Like always. Mind you, if this gallery gets updated with that AND the textless version, his can be expunged. If no one does it somewhat soon, I'll do it, as I noticed that derdie has been gone for some time, and the amount of time on this is limited.
