If you're on any projects of fan-fiction or fan-art regarding ACE Combat 6, or simply get stuck on some point of gameplay, come here and grab this book, it helps.
Why ACE Combat 6 is the best installation throughout the franchise? Because the great leap forward of graphics and the grand scale of battles, also for it offers a great system to make you feel like both a hero of frontline and a commander of tactic-planning, in short, you’re free and you’re in control. When a game grants you unprecedented freedom and controllability, it’s a great game, for example ACE Combat 6 and the reboot of Doom in 2016. Not to mention the story of ACE Combat 6 makes you feel “closure” in the end, when a game’s story, no matter how simple, gives you the feeling of closure when it ends, then it’s a good story.
To summarize, ACE Combat 6 has great graphics, magnificent gameplay, and a rather self-contained story, thus crowning it to be the champion. I give it 9.5 out of 10, the only downside is the absence of ADF-01, ADFX-01/02, XFA-27 and XFA-33.
The story of AC6 (or even 7) didn't quite hit the mark for me, though the gameplay were definitely solid and really fun. The biggest failure of AC6 was the fact that it's a Xbox 360 exclusive, and I'm sure a lot of fans will agree with me.
Ah, the game that started it all for me. So many memories and hours logged, from the raid on the Aigaion, raining down warcrimes in a can on the Stovie bastards, or just calling in allied support and watching the skies go black as my buddies unloaded so many missiles I got slapped by a lawsuit form Harmony Gold.
AC6 isn't quite Zero-levels of perfection, but it's still my second favorite for a reason.
