I use Manga Rikai OCR for character recognition, and then I copy and paste the japanese from that into deepl, google translate, and bing translate to try and get the best translation, as some of the comments suggested.

As bad as this is, I think it's still better than no translation at all. Agree with other posters saying to use DeepL for machine TL if you're not going to get it done right. Also the original gallery has versions of the images without text boxes, you should use those versions instead, and get a better font, don't left justify the text. It would also be nice if you share the Japanese text script you get prior to copy-pasting into Google Translate so somebody else could do it better in the future.

I haven't seen anyone be this, for the lack of a better word, stupid. Stop whatever you're doing (and posting it up here) and actually start learning how to do something correct at least.

The amount of bitching about his translations is pretty deplorable. Few have expressed gratitude that it was translated at all. Those who bitched likely weren't going to do any translating.

Sure, his translations may have initially needed work, but he seemed to show a lot of sincerity in getting better. Telling someone that "they should've commissioned it" is not any better.
