hmmmmm, ill admit i find this concept very interesting.

In a world where sex seems to not be taboo at all, and infact is completely open and accepted, how would it make someone feel who doesnt want sex?
thats an interesting plot idea.

Im suprised how interesting this plot is! I dont think i ever seen anybody go for something similar where in the world of sex you dont want it.

Well i now hope there will be a continuation to this storyline because its a really cool and unique idea, it would be nice to see how far it develops.

I say we need a tag for "World" or "perception" or both. The definition would be "anything that affects the perception of sex for a whole people." Not necessarily mind control, more like a weird kind of culture. Of course you can still add the "mind control" tag if you wish to see the effect of some kind of magic on a world, but you get the point.

I think a good lot of people can relate with the uneasiness about sex, the hyper-sexualisation of the world, and feel bad when it is kinda forced on them. Anything forced on you, even sex, is a choice that was removed from you, and not knowing who did it leaves you with unanswered questions. Is it what I want ? Am I doing good ?Would it be better if I didn't do it ? This has great potential for an interesting story.

@aeroplume72 agreed, so many of these kinds of stories have decent plots and "plots", and they're really hard to find, mostly because you'd need to stack 5+ tags to even be close to finding them

So how exactly DOES someone develop a sense of shame in a world that's clearly given it the boot?

RobDollar not feeling like you are fitting in is a form of shame.
and it can lead to a great amount of emotional distress.
Which can make someone feel that they fit in even less.
Which leads to more emotional distress.

until they either emotionally shut down, blocking everything from the outside world and falling into a vegetative state.
Become emotionally numb, only interacting in whatever way is minimally necessary live.
...Or commit suicide to end there suffering and the world would not miss them anyways.
These thoughts are some of the leading causes of suicide IRL.
One of the treatments is to hug the person in a nonsexual manner and offer a quiet and calm environment where they can feel safe while interacting with the person trying to help the afflicted person.
People barging in or loud noises, interruptions including phones, music or distractions pulling the therapist away from the patient can lead to feelings of abandonment, betrayal, distrust and vindication of ones own inadequacy's.

Basically his friend was supposed to help him stay in a quiet safe place while under the medications influence in a state of extreme emotional vulnerability and had every bad and wrong thing that you could possibly do, done to him while in that state....
Even the doctor betrayed his trust.
Add to this Sham being almost unheard of in this world makes this condition {at least to me} seem like a recipe for this type of disorder being exacerbated by the sheer fact that the individual is afflicted by something so weird in this fictional world and becoming the perfect storm for a suicide case.
Now we are adding witchcraft PG-21 and facing his own insecurity's literally.
What happens next?
Guess we wait for the next few pages.
