This crossover feels... Weirdly on point actually? Both shows have really similar DNA in some ways.

Hot take: Ojamajo Doremi was consistently WAY better than MLP:FiM was.

not a hot take at all, its about as cold as one of the jokes from the sos. stating that mlp becomes mediocre after season x (usually 3) isnt a bold statement in the slightest, its been repeated endlessly, and for good reason. i found mlp to be at its peak around season 2, then it becoming drab after season 5, with good episodes sparsely dispersed from then on. on the other hand, doremi stays great throughout its duration and has its peak in its latter half. i would rewatch motto a thousand times over than watch s8-s9 of mlp once, let me say that.

also, doremi IS japanese mlp. in the final episode, the witch queen says, "When magic and friendship go hand in hand.. what a wonderful world that will be."
