I was really on board... Until I wasn't. It was a fun transformation romp, and then decided to do hundreds of pages of exposition about the characters that wasn't previously presented. Never heard of "show, don't tell"?
Not to mention how bleak it makes the whole setting. Supposedly the AI is offering them change so they can be happy, but the path it sets out for all of them is forced change and some rather unpleasant ones. They never really had a choice, despite what the narrative says. In fact, Dana is never even presented the choice. Josh's case is especially bad... There's literally no way for him to find satisfaction in life than to give up his desires, be forced into being a woman and then made a sex addict so he can bear it? Why even write that? The story presents it like it's a hopeful and happy outcome for everyone but they all effectively get permanently mindfucked.
