Thank you for continuing to translate and typeset Sudoo Kaoru's works! Oh, and really good choice on the font this time. Much better suited to the character of a yuri book, I think, and much prettier.
Nice to see that you've taken my advice. It's been a while since your last post, but now I have to point out another problem that's all too present in this project: overleveling.
Just as no leveling makes things look too bright, overleveling makes things look too dark. Leveling is color correction, but when you overlevel, it destroys the fine details in the images and looks awful. Take for example page 9, though it applies to every single page that she wears the vest on. You overleveled the image and completely blacked out the linework on the blond's vest.
To show that I practice what I preach, I'll show you how the image on page 9 is supposed to be properly leveled by putting the markers on the midpoints of the slopes before the first peak on the left side of the leveling histogram and in the middle of the slope on the right side, which I've screenshotted below. This is what the image is supposed to look like: https://puu.sh/HwlKi/2b7137ca8e.png And this is where you put your markers on the leveling histogram to achieve that, though it may not apply to every page: https://puu.sh/HwlNr/870941aee1.png
Notice how the fine lines in the vest are still clearly visible? That's how you're supposed to level your scans: only level as much as necessary, and preserve as much fine detail as possible.
Your typesetting has gotten better, but it still needs work. Start by completely removing Manga Temple from your fonts list. Plenty of other fonts you can use that look infinitely better than Manga Temple: Wild Words, Meanwhile, Kiss and Tell, Samaritan, Clementine, YadaYadaYada, Zap Raygun 2.0, Digital Strip, and many, many more. Experiment and adjust your style as you see fit.
I'll leave this here for you to help you get better at editing: https://quicksandscans.wordpress.com/resources/. Read through it, learn from it, and apply what you've learned into your future works, because that's the only way you're going to get better.
Aaaahhhh....... Chinacat. A much more pleasent font to look at than Manga Temple, especially for a yuri manga. Thanks for taking good advices seriously.
