I was expecting some dark twist like she killed (or cursed which eventually killed him since she was sealed) the grandfather when she started saying stuff about being 'insatiable'.

She probably never "met" the insatiable guy she was supposedly built for -- according to usual tsukumogami lore, an item needs to be over 100 years old to awaken as a youkai. The data page says she's 400, which probably counts that century of non-sentience, but she only came to Japan during the Taisho era (1912-1926), so Grandpa certainly wasn't the insatiable one. From the sounds of it, Gramps might have just thought of her as a valuable antique and not fucked her at all.
