Remember, Japan and Korea both have very different views on Black people than the Western world. In some places they're looked upon with awe, and other places extreme suspicion and at worst contempt. Mainland Asians are very xenophobic when it comes to people not Asian. White people also get a lot more attention than they would anywhere else in the world, and in older places out in the countryside you're going to get looked upon with suspicion, though mostly from the older generations rather than the younger ones.

It's only really the Western world that has this melting pot of all different races coming together and mostly living in harmony. A lot of the world, like much of Africa, Asia, and South America are populated mostly with the respective races that originally settled there and people who look different are treated differently. Obviously not everyone in those places are xenophobic, but when you have TV commercials in Asia with a black guy getting into a washing machine and coming out Asian and hugging an Asian woman sensually, it should be pretty apparent that these places are a lot different than the Western world.

It honestly makes me cringe how people get all up in arms about racism in America or Europe where racism is actually much less than anywhere else in the world. Not to say that there isn't obvious racism in America, but everyone seems to want instant progress these days where the civil rights movements were literally only 50 years ago. The amount of progress in these past 50 years towards equality cannot be understated and everyone likes to ignore all the GOOD that has happened.
