WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?

You basically ruined the color images by converting them to 8bit colordepth index mode but you saved the black and and white images with 24bit or sometimes even 32bit colordepth. The opposite would have been the correct solution. Color images saved with 24bit colordepth and the black and white images with 8 bit colordepth. The times were a color image looked good with a maximum of 256 colors (yes that's what you did by converting the color images to index mode, reducing the color to a maximum of 256 different colors) are long gone. And why why would you need the possibilty of 16.7 million colors for a black and white image.
