What a stupid business decision... Breaking the appeal the girl was bringing to the establishment.
Clients that change there minds about her would go for other girls... But she was snatching them all apparently, so that should tell you that your subservient mannered girls are not in fashion.
Now another brothel that CAN bring in clients who want a wild girl are going to be more competitive against you... Moron.
Dick move too brainwashing the girl before even trying to work something out. >:p

While I would agree that this would be a horrible decision if it were a business situation, but it is more of... finding a solution to a political problem, and finding a birthday gift for his special someone. He kills two birds with one stone. It will make more sense in the next comic, but as of now, the artist and I are simply releasing this one on a weekly basis.

On the brothel side, it's more of a stand up for where the money actually comes from. No good, honor bound law enforcer would dare be found within sight of the places, while those who are corruptible are easily slotted out of the sheeping heard of peasants and nobles that walk the streets of Paris. Whether wearing fine suits & dresses, or wrung with rags, you are all equally primal and filled with desire. Under his roof, he offers a chance for your savageness to be set free. It doesn't have to be sexual to be sinful. ;-)
