I believe 続きもの in the DMM page refers to the fact that this doujin is a continuation of a previous work, not that there'll be a sequel or a continuation. Although the author did say in a tweet that promotes the doujin that he hasn't decided on whether or not to draw a sequel to this one or a new thing entirely. Fingers crossed.

Edit: Never mind, I thought this was the doujin page for the sequel lol. I was just reading the sequel before posting this comment. Anyway yes, 続きもの in this case refers to a possible sequel in the future, which did happen in fact in the second part that just went up last August.
