She mentions on page 12 how it's hard to tell if she really loves him when they're together(since she originally just wanted the sex), and that she's trying to deepen her connection with him to figure out whether or not she does. They have sex after that, and, hinting that there is something special between them, she decides to ask if he's up for more so that she can find out what it is. The key word there is "ask". She cares about his input in the relationship. She isn't using him. You somehow got a really terrible interpretation out of a rather sweet story.
