Another detail I also enjoyed was the setting, that "I'm gonna let myself encased in gold voluntarily" (and then realizating their mistake). Great, and not something we see enough.

I love the inclusion of noting that these hold the person only for as long as they subconsciously wish it.
She could leave whenever she wanted, but deep down she doesn't want to leave. The only person holding her there being herself makes it even better imo.

@vulpes133: Thank you for mentioning this! That's actually the core idea I want to keep developing in my future petrification/encasement artworks. The best corruption is the one you do on yourself, but there is the subconscious that doesn't want to leave and there is an inner conflict between (1) what you want and (2) your inner (unreleased) desires. Perhaps that's the reason of why we keep searching new erotic feelings? Who knows?
