I think Borba has set up an arc for these characters long ago. Apart from the absolutely silly world building ("first bunny to abort" anyone?), there's some merit in his work. Judy got destroyed in the first chapter and Nick had his time in the gutter on the second. I'm genuinely curious to know where they are heading. I think my mind is open enough (and my patience is big enough) to just accept this comic for the excessively flawed and personal project that it is.

So it seems the plan for this round of madness is to go for the cliche "friendship solves all" methods and now everybody is going to forget everything what happened because the world is a bright and happy place?

Time has passed and we all just forgot about the abortion of our kid, the body damages the said abortion resulted in, nick forgot about his backbone once again and judy acts like everything is fine. The power of friendship and love saved the world and here we see the happy ending!

Good lords, this is disgusting. Its those run-off-the-mill sappy "forget your wrongdoers" story built upon two disturbingly bad stories. Count me suprised because i honestly didnt knew you could make this bad writing totally disconnected to the previous stories.

Okay so theres a continuation here because the original sugarcoated, spineless ending is not enough we need to go deeper and by that i mean we need to make it worse.

It seems this phase we are using JFK as our source for "original" ideas, now i call a betting again!

Choose which nonsense Borba will torture us in this shitstain of story:

* Judy survives a headshot so we gotta see the teary oh soo happy hospital awkening cliche.
* Judy dies and this pushes Nick into depression resulting in suicide.
* Judy dies and Nick marries her now widowed wife who realizes that shes a bisexual.

Im not even suprised anymore. We stayed on the sugarcoated, friendship saves all story. Nick is a spineless abonimation, Judy is the hero everyone loves, the whole thing is an overexragated mess but even with all of this im happy because this means Borba finally ended this tortorous bullshit and hopefully forgets about ever making comics again.

5 - Omfg... She's the MAYOR, and it's all going to come back to how dumping Nick, killing her baby, and arbitrarily becoming a lesbian was the best thing that ever happened to her. You are a piece of work, Borba.

8 - "It's just my irresistible fox charm."
They got the roles backwards. The first part of the story had Judy give up her baby partially because she was afraid of how it might be some kind of horrible fox-rabbit monstrosity. Here she is a few years later, and Judy should have a handsome RABBIT on her arm, and it's HER belly that's swollen with another litter on the way. A pregnant woman can laugh about her current state being the result of her charm. But a MAN is charming, and that in turn makes him fat? How does that work?

The mayor's having a pleasant conversation with a civilian and she doesn't appear to be threatened in any way! This is not a drill, people! Repeat! This is not a drill!!

19 - Good grief... Even in a society as naturally diverse as this, Borba-Judy is using adoption to virtue-signal. Maybe she'd want to raise and empower a little bunny like herself whose parents couldn't care for her and her dozens of siblings (far too easy to imagine that bunnies would be one of the more likely species who end up in the adoption circuit), or maybe she could've taken in that little fox kit who made her think of what she might've had with Nick (and her wife wouldn't object to that, since she's the understanding type and she recognizes how big a part of her life Nick was)... But nah, skim through all these other kids so you can look for something flashy and designer! "Oh look! A red panda! They're so hot right now. And a zebra! Perfect! Gotta show the voters how much we think that African species matter!"

I'd like to see these "small radical groups" revealed to be a small group of mice, rats, etc. who are against Hopps' "full mammal equality program" because it means that larger animals are free to live in areas that are specifically tailored to smaller species, like Little Rodentia. This group faces significantly more dangers than the rest of the city just because they're so much smaller, and they feel like they need places specifically made for them where they can live safely, and the integration of larger animals would only put them at greater risk. So naturally what do you call someone who's against your political ideals (especially one that sounds as nice as "full mammal equality")? NNNNNNNNNAZI!!!!!!

No hate here, but the storytelling hasn't really matured as much as it just skipped ahead to the last page. It introduces a bunch of new plot threads like Nick apparently having moved on, Judy's adopted children that logically should be more difficult to care for than whatever Nick & Judy might've had on their own, etc., and these elements SHOULD have brought their own dramatic tension to the table, but... no. Nick & Judy are SOMEHOW friends, despite leaving things on an absolutely horrible note the last time we saw them. That's not to say this story CAN'T end happily, but it didn't do the work necessary to get us there.

So, we went from something pretty interesting, to a mid point, to a cheesy wholesome and JFK ending?
Yup, this is the lowest of the low that I've ever seen.

I was smiling the entire way. I heard of this infamous comic, and now I've finished it. I haven't been smiling out of joy, but of how amused I've been at the story telling. Making stories is hard,but I feel there's something very wrong if your story gets this kind of reaction. I found the writing to be exaggerated and choppy in how emotions and thoughts were put out. The characters' reactions were explosive while the art to show it was meant to be explosive, but somehow didn't hit the mark for me. It felt empty in a way.

Chapter 2 felt odd because it went for a slam dunk on Nick, when he was the one who left Judy. That's when I started really smiling. It hit all the marks for me when she started the relationship with her now wife and how he was kicked out (rightfully, of course) of the apartment. His emotions and feelings of helplessness didn't do much for me emotionally, but I felt like I knew what was coming anyways.

Then chapter 3 comes in and everything's going good, I guess. Both are happy and successful, despite the relationship being totally destroyed in the last chapter. Sure, time heals all wounds, but this wound is a gash that the bandage of time could not heal. I'm glad to see Nick's doing good, at least. I also find it extremely funny how Hops is now the lesbian mayor with the stereotypical adopted kids.

Overall, I felt like the story was trying to be as dramatic as possible, but ends up being stereotypical as well in its development. It tried, but I guess by the end of the second comic, it was doomed in that regard. Even by the end of the first chapter, I felt there needed to be a re-write. It felt a bit stiff. The JFK thing was pretty funny though. Woulda been even funnier if it actually happened. I guess I just I feel more for Nick than Judy. Mostly because Nick's been alone since the end of the first comic. Probably something more, of course, but I don't blame her for the abortion. Mostly on terms in which, yea, maybe she'd get torn apart if something so big was in her.
