I really like the simplicity of his lines and his use of a limited color palette. I also like the way he draws the faces of his girls, especially their eyes -- they were refreshingly different from those drawn by other Western cartoonists during that time.

The eyes of the girls(and of the men) of this artist ARE DEFINITELY NOT "refreshingly different from those drawn by other Western cartoonists"!On the contrary,THEIR EYES ARE STRANGE AND QUITE SCARY and THERE IS NOTHING "REFRESHING" in them!
