I know my fair share of Sonic characters but i had to look this one up, literally had no idea who Tikal was and she's been part of the Sonic universe since Sonic Adventure.
Then again i never played any Sonic game so that might explain it.

Tell you what - Knuckles had entire extended family at some point in-canon, but they were all unmade in the same canon by the in-canon event to the point of never bloody existing in fist place. Verily, Thanos himself could've only dreamt of such a snap in his wildest dreams - that's pattern screamers and The End of Eternity retroactive history editing level of mindfuckery.
That's somewhat beside the point, of course, but tangentially related to the fact of assload of random characters being introduced into the Sonic continuity as new quote staples unquote of the franchise simply because Sonic Team is physically unable to produce competent content, and can only create illusion of quality by throwing in as much "new" characters as they can, praying that the quantity simply has to become quality one day, while stamping out any kind of personal development and story progression harder than Games Workshop back during 5th edition of W40K.
