On my pc they are all pngs, maybe I didn't grey-scale them though. But my god what a difference leveling makes. I was definitely in over my head with the quality of these scans vs my knowledge on how to make them look decent, but I will absolutely be doing that from now on. I'm sure it's just a basic thing that's expected, though, lmao. Thanks again for the advice, you've been a life-saver!

Yea I'm still learning. Kinda my opinion that you never stop, but that's another topic. I'd say I'm a bit past N3, but that's pretty irrelevant given that standardized tests blow ass for determining ability in anything, let alone a language. That line (and about 3 others in this doujin) had me going back and forth on who exactly was being spoken about (there are usually around 2-5 lines that throw me off). I'm definitely far from the best translator out there, and don't claim to be either, but I think I get it right enough for a few doujins imo (or at least better than an MTL). There are most certainly mistakes and rough translations in my work, but that's something I'll be working on long after I'm done with my stint translating. In general this is why I don't translate manga or very recent stuff, but stuff that's maybe a tad older that missed out on a translation release. Thanks for the critique!

Don't forget to export black and white images as grayscale PNGs, not RGB JPGs. This is to a) avoid artifacting; b) preserve quality; c) de-bloat. I tried it on one page, and the size went down from ~4.80MB to about 1MB. Also helps with leveling and color accuracy.

Won't go over the whole thing with a fine-toothed comb (unless a tag presents itself requiring such a thing), but as a note, on page 4, Master isn't talking about being a horny bastard himself. The Japanese in that bubble is clearly talking entirely about Astolfo and Astolfo alone. The correct translation for that section would be:

"Astolfo had strong sexual urges already, so now with two of him it ended up being me who's always worn out first..."

That's a rough fix of that one particular line. But getting the context wrong is a pretty common issue. How long have you been learning Japanese? Are you still taking classes? Or are you asking a computer to help you out?
