Sure, but the fictional plugsuit is going to be of a certain thickness and a certain pressure and maybe temperature, and of a certain material, so that things like imperfections in the flesh or nipples don't show themselves as much.
This is just a fabric onesie, poorly representative of a fictional bodysuit, and thus maybe we'd like our cosplayers to help in minimizing those details that a plugsuit wouldn't show.
To be clear, I have no familiarity with Neon Genesis Evangelion. I'm assuming those details about the "plugsuit." :)
It's important to remember that cosplayers are like artists, and that what they're doing in designing or creating an outfit is often hacks and comprimises, to create an illusion bearing a resemblance to a fictional character. They'll always fall short! We gotta' appreciate what we can appreciate.
I like to appreciate the cosplayer who has an expression I feel is most like the character they're cosplaying. I want them to feel like that character. It's the energy and expression put forward by them that makes me say "hey, I like that cosplay!" :)

I'm impressed how low are the ratings for this girl's pictures. I hope you know what you are doing. There may be a day she quits (it is a lot of work to do what they do)... with less cosplay, people may lose interest in it... and if you are one short of appreciation (maybe you think you could do better), you will also be forgotten, no matter how good you may think you are. Appreciate the art, dbags.
One girl leaves the scene and three more will take her place.
As for the rest of your statement: the 'could you do better' excuse is the lowest tier possible. I don't have to be a master painter to critique a painting nor do I have to be a cosplayer to comment on low effort cosplay.
You're right, though. I'll be forgotten, you'll be forgotten, and she will be forgotten, no matter how good she is. That's the nature of time. To be so overtly concerned over that is folly.
